GREEN DAY

This famous band is a punk rock band formed in 1987. The lead vocalist is Billie Joe Armstrong, who's guitarist too. The bassist and backing vocalist is Mike Dirnt, and the drummer is Tré Cool

In 1994, its debut Dookie became very succesful and they sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. and 15 million worldwide. Green Day was widely credited, and it revived the interest in punk rock in the United States.albums, Their following albums weren't as successful as Dookie, but they reached many awards.

                                      Their 2004 American Idiot made the band more popular with a younger generation

They have won four Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American IDiot , Record of the Year, for Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and Best Rock Album for the second time fot 21st Century Breakdown.
